A Debt Repaid! Now Let's Have Lunch (Open)

"<<WWZT>>, HOME. RUUUUUUN~!, <<WZZT>>, WAAAAAAH~! <<WZT>>" A heavy jingle of metal and broken prerecorded sounds of cheering eclipse Naoki's person as he wipes the sweat from his brow before he takes position again. The smell of old baseballs, sweat and those wonky stage lights dot each pocket of the batting cages, Naoki being one of the only people present actually batting while many chose to gawk. Adrenaline was high and focus was all but centred on that small hole several yards away, the anticipation of another fastball brought the group to a standstill, it was quiet enough to hear a pin drop if the coarse sanded ground was tidied up correctly.

*FFTMN* A baseball came rocketing towards Naoki's side as he temporally broke concentration, it was a split second surprise but that lapse in focus costed precious dear seconds. "Just a-! <<WZZT>>, ST. RIKE THREE!, <<WZT>>", second... Naoki's bat missed its mark and flew through hot air, people beside each nearby pockets sighed the same time as the toxic, electronic music signalled it was the end of Nao's game and the start of some other pent up soul. The cages were fun but really expensive if you go frequently like him, it is a caveat which the boy only found annoying since it was a sunday and school was closed. Which meant no baseball team meet either, so no more playing ball until at least Tuesday when everyone reconvenes.

While strolling over to his items, he noticed the next player sitting by a nearby bench and handed him the well worn metal bat as they crossed paths, it was still slightly caked in finger sweat but the middle aged man who took it didn't seem to care at all after of couple shakes. Shrugging at the thought, Naoki first unhooked and straightened the sleeves of his school dress shirt, the slightly crumpled clothing was covered by the Mishiro Highschool waistcoat and then overshadowed by Naoki's personal crimson coat. Feeling warm enough and already worked up an appetite, Nao decided to stop by Big Bang Burger for food, since it was en-route back home and the closest food joint he could see.

After waiting his turn, picking out a chicken burger and fries to eat in, Naoki followed along the far outward seats to find an open spot, preferably one beside a window. He found one already half-occupied by some tall, suited up japanese man who was comfortably eating his own order. The man in question was a taller then average, possibly even taller then Naoki as the boy waved with one hand free to get the man's attention. "Is the opposite seat free?" The blonde asked in a rough tone, he was nearly tempted to just sit without asking, but he felt that would be too impolite.

RYOKEN HAMAGUCHI

The sudden shift of gaze caused Naoki's hand to recoil slightly, it was evident this older man was jumpy but not visibly shocked or frightened by the schoolkid's presence, it was like the small world which encompassed the whole table and a single chair grew another faction, Naoki's side. "You okay?" sliding the small meal across the table quickly while taking the opposite seat, Nao asked the man without subtly or sound of actual concern, the question was more for confirmation of another person's well being.

Hooking one of his ankles atop the knee of the other leg, Naoki first muttered itadakimasu whilst unravelling the burger packaging before taking a big bite into his food. The taste of chicken was there, so was the mayonnaise and small pickle, too salty like always, Naoki's expression shifted from slight bliss to his resting 'bitch' face quite quickly, the meals were at least better portioned then WacTonalds, the taste can always be improved, with less caked in sugar too since these things can kill a person's diet. As Naoki contemplated about comparisons between other fast food restaurants, his vision naturally rested towards the man opposite him.

RYOKEN HAMAGUCHI

(OOC: By the time of writing this, I didn't know if Ryo was talking with his mouth full of food at the end there but I decided to play with that, if not then you can forget about what Nao first says since it was meant as a joke.)

Naoki's whole thought train came to a grinding halt before the man's words, a job huh? Nao thought to himself, it wouldn't be that different then what I've already got to deal with so it could be beneficial to get more spending money. Actually considering the suit's words for a moment, the kid lowered his food back onto the paper covered tray slowly while listening to the mouth-filled man rant a little about life. Smirking and scoffing, Naoki quipped after the sentence was finished, "You know it's kind of hard hearing you through all that food" before cutting any kind of reply back to say his piece.

"Though, if a job is even more life sucking then what I currently do then I'm shit outta luck" Naoki gives a bitter smile at all the times he's had to cater to his mother's demands this week alone, he willingly got into that mess of a relationship but sometimes it would truly be a blessing if she cooks for herself sometimes, at least once bi-weekly. Nevertheless, Naoki was weak to her smile and making mother happy is one of his daily chores he keeps accomplishing, lets hope people don't start calling him a mother-con because of it.

"Oh, I'm Ginrou Naoki, nice to meet you" Stopping his immediate train of thought to wipe his hands of burger bun and light grease with a tissue before extending it outward for a handshake. If the man replies back or not, Naoki still resumed his thought and continued the immediate discussion, "So what about you? Your job sounds like a hassle just from the sounds of it" Nao intently questions before getting back to his burger with one hand, while popping one fries in his mouth too.

RYOKEN HAMAGUCHI

Sundays were the best days to hang out at the Bubble! With her homework for the weekend all squared away and her friends free it was the perfect time to get in some much needed social interaction. She spent the first part of the morning hanging out with a new friend from her History class who seemed pretty cool, they went to a few of their favorite stores to see the new fall and spring outfits on offer. She'd dressed nicely today, pink pants and a matching tee with a nice dark light jacket to pull it together with a handful of pins to customize it. She stopped by and visited with her dad after that while he was checking up on the weekend work at the coffee shop too, and she and her new friend parted ways.

So after a brief sint of shopping around she found herself getting hungry. Fast food wasn't her go to, but she felt like french fries today, that crunchy American food they loved so much. The restaurant was crowded with people and she considered just taking her little container of oily potatoes and hanging out at the coffee shop, but a look around had her spy a friend sitting at a table with an intense looking stranger! But then, Naoki was kinda intense himself wasn't he? Oh well. She went on over and flashed the both of them a big smile. They were talking about something or other, but she hadn't been able to catch any of it on her way over.

"Hi Ginrou-san! Mind if I sit with you?"[/color] Yukari asked cheerily, resting her free hand on her little purse as she did so. She giggled and sat down anyway, figuring he wouldn't mind and not really knowing about the guy. He looked a lot older than they were, but she didn't recognize him... "Who's your friend? I'm Yukari Hamada, what's your name mister? You guys look so serious over here! I was almost scared to come talk to you! What are you up to today?"

"You familiar with this girl, Ginrou-san?" Ryoken asked after taking a sip of pop. "My name's Hamaguchi Ryoken. It's nice to meet you, Hamada-san."




Ryoken's phone buzzed loudly in his suit pocket. He tried his best not to grimace- he set it to vibrate only when it was a text or call from the Komatsuzaki. He tried to pass it off as the boss breathing down his neck. "Sheesh, they won't let me have lunch in peace." he said wryly.

"Familiar? We practically see each other on a near daily basis" Unaware of any possible misunderstandings when he spouted those words, his posture slowly shifted more towards the middle since his classmate took the space she wanted. Seeing how hurt she got from his reaction and noticing the piping hot untouched food, Naoki slowly pushed his own cooler fries towards her, "Munch on this if yours are too hot" while stealing some of the longer fresh hot fries from Hamada's stash, knowing she'll likely pout or something in retaliation of some small food stealing and give her more of a reason to do the same back.

Ow, these are really too hot! Naoki's eyebrow only twitched for a fraction while munching on those fries, gobbling down the slightly cooler burger straight after did help keep up his unconcerned look however. Still chewing silently while listening to some of Hamada's gossip, I think both me and mister debt collector can agree real, real estate is kinda boring he quipped internally while giving an appropriate silent small nod, only enhanced further by the chomping food and last gulp he took before fully paying attention. "Sure, and what about magazines? I mean, those must be easier to get your pictures into first before something as big as TV or movies" He was slightly curious about another person's hobbies and enjoyments, though the way she talked about goals so lightheartedly made Naoki somewhat worried for her future. Eh, she'll probably be fine, I can't see her failing hard at something she's so passionate about. Naoki tried to remain a constant optimist with this thought as he slowly nudged his food free face closer to the phone screen, whenever she opens and shows it off anyway.

RYOKEN HAMAGUCHI . YUKARI HAMADA

Yukari didn't pay Naoki too much more mind while he answered the weird businessman, more concerned with navigating to her phone's picture library and being met with a dozen or so pictures of her own smiling fac. She scrolled down to the tourist photos and looked up at his offer to steal some of his fries. "Aw, thanks~!"[/color] she chirped in reply and flashed him a smile.

... but the one she grabbed was like waaaay too salty, she made a face and quickly decided not to eat any more of them out of his bucket. "Euch, too much salt," It took just another second to open the pictures and scroll to the right set. There they were! And when it came up the man across the table stopped her in her tracks. How long had they been dating? Yukari giggled and shook her head, he had them figured wrong! "Well, he might want to ask me first, huh? Naoki-kun I am single right now, it's your chance to ask me on a date and steal my heart!" She teased, grinning at the businessman and giving Naoki a mischievous wink. He was too busy to have a girlfriend anyways wasn't he? Seemed like she didn't see him much outside of class. It wasn't anything she was gonna waste much time over, not when she had some gorgeous pictures to show off!

"Anyways here, look at these! We took them at the park in the Star district and they turned out really well. They were visiting from Hakodate, and they were so nice,"[/color] Yukari explained as she flicked through the pictures first for Naoki and then angling her screen to scroll through for Ryoken. The orange tint of sunset in the background set the fountain behind the smiling couple sparkling, the perfect backdrop for the best picture of the pair kissing in what was said to be one of the district's popular date spots at the fountain edge. "I actually already got some pictures published in a magazine, that was cool! I'll bring it with me to school Monday and show you, they credited me and everything. I even got paid!"[/color]
