Setsuna let out a sigh. She was, at the moment, just wandering aimlessly in the shopping center, not entirely sure where to go next. She had already achieved what she came here for. A new volume of one of her favorite manga had just come out, and she came out to pick it up. Then, she hit a game store and found a few games she had always been wanting to play for sale, so she ended up not spending as much money as she had planned to. Needless to say, it was a bit of a pleasant surprised when she noticed this. As such, she figured she could go somewhere else...she just wasn't sure where that would be yet. It wasn't uncommon for her to wander aimlessly throughout the "Bubble" though. Still a strange name if you asked her.
However, this ceased to be an issue the moment her stomach let out a rather loud growl. Looking at her watch, she blinked...it was 1:17 PM. "Holy crap...it's this late already?" Letting out a sigh, she decided to head over to the food court to put her angry stomach at ease. Deciding to get a fast food place with a surprisingly-good fish sandwich, she bought herself a couple of those sandwiches and some fries, then proceeded to an empty table. As she unwrapped one of the sandwiches and took a bite, she couldn't help but think back to when she first came here, a few months ago. Having come from a rather small town, she'd never seen anything like this up close. It was actually a little scary how easily she got used to it.
Granted, her first time here, she ended up getting completely lost, but she was a quick learner. She was much more careful the next time, and now it's become one of her favorite places to hang out on weekends. All in all, she was much happier, having moved out of that town...away from those horrible, narrow-minded people. She started to turn a little pale as some memories started flooding back, but she took a sharp breath in an attempt to suppress them. "It's okay Setsuna...they're gone...you'll never see any of them again..." Letting out a sigh to help calm her nerves, it didn't take much for her to return to normal. Indeed; she was grateful for this new life.

Having just woken up from a nap, Saeko looked around to see where she had fallen asleep this time. Seeing as she was just outside the Bubble, she remembered what she was doing. ”Oh right, I was was going to do a little bit of shopping… What was I getting again?” Pulling out her phone and quickly pulling up the shopping list she had made herself earlier that morning, ”Shampoo, Hair dye, Root touch-up, and latex gloves... right”. With her goal back in mind, and slightly refreshed from her nap, Saeko picked herself up off the bench she was just napping on and continued to head toward the shopping center.
Bzzt, Bzzt Saeko’s phone started vibrating just as she was about to enter the Bubble. Seeing as it was her mom calling her, she quickly picked up ”Yes mom? … Grandma’s getting released from the hospital? … Then I’ll go pick up some extra cleaning supplies so we can clean up before she comes home”. Before putting her phone away, she added cleaning supplies to her list, and thought about where to best pick them up.
Walking through the shops, Saeko picked up the things she needed as she went. After getting everything but the cleaning supplies, she stopped in at the food court after being temped by the delicious smell of food. Looking at all her options, Saeko settled on a salmon and rice bowl, picked up extra soy sauce, and started looking for a place to sit down. There went many open tables at this time of the day, with the last one that she could see having been just taken before she could get to it. Not knowing many people here is making this more difficult than it should be… Going from table to table, Saeko asked if the empty seat was open, but got turned away every time.
As she was about to give up and take her food outside and sit on a bench to eat it, she saw a girl go almost completely pale while chowing down on a sandwich of some kind, with some empty seats around her. Saeko walked up to the table, and braced herself to be told the seats where taken and asked ”Excuse me, is that seat open?” and with her hand holding her shopping bag, pointed toward the opposite side of where the girl was sitting.

By then, Setsuna had managed to calm herself down, so she was mostly back to normal by the time Saeko approached her. Mostly. She was still a bit sidetracked by her thoughts, and thus didn't notice Saeko right away. It was only until a few seconds afterwards that her question registered, upon which she snapped back to reality. Unable to help but blush a little, she nodded quickly "Yeah sure, I don't mind. Sorry if I seemed a bit spacey just now...had some stuff on my mind is all." She wasn't lying, but it was a huge understatement.
As she finished off her first sandwich, she unwrapped the second, taking a moment to look over the other girl. She looked to be about the same age as her, though she didn't recognize her at all. Even if she didn't personally know everyone at the school, she was usually pretty good at remembering faces, even if they were a brief glimpse. Which could mean she goes to a different school. She knew there were a few of them here in Sanyo, so her curiosity got the better of her. "Say...sorry if this seems forward, but if you don't mind me asking, which school do you go to?"

Saeko nearly gave up and was about to turn around to leave when the girl responded, allowing her to sit at the table. ”Thank you so much.” Wondering what the other girl meant with what she said after, and if it had anything to do with why she went pale just moments ago, Saeko almost asked about it, but decided not to since everyone has problems of some kind.
Setting her bag down next to her seat, and her bowl on the table, Saeko started to eat her lunch. It tasted a little dry so she added an extra package of soy sauce over the salmon and continued eating. Realizing that, this was the first time in almost a month or so since moving to Sanyo that she ate something she didn’t cook, Saeko started to make notes of what they did with the food.
While lost in thought, Saeko was suddenly brought back to the situation she found herself in by the abrupt question from the girl sitting across the table from her. ”Ehh? Ah, I go to Wakaba High, class 1-A, but not for trying to get into Mishiro… Fell asleep during the entrance exam on accident.” Thinking about it for a second longer, Saeko realized she didn’t know the other girl’s name and decided to introduce herself too. ”I’m Saeko Tamaki, sorry for the late introduction.”

Ah hah. So she was right in her assumption that this other girl must go to a different school. "Ah, that explains it. I figured you must be about the same age as I am, but I didn't remember seeing you around at Mishiro, so I couldn't help but ask." As for Wakaba itself, Setsuna didn't know much about it. She had heard that the place was full of delinquents, though she wasn't particularly fond of that kind of gossiping. Besides, this girl seems pleasant enough, so either the rumors were off base or Saeko was one of the exceptions. Either way, Setsuna wasn't one to judge just based on some rumors. She knew all too well what it was like to be judged unfairly.
That said, she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when she went on to mention that she had tried to get into Mishiro, but fell asleep during the entrance exam. That was...definitely something. "...that's...wow. I mean...I've fallen asleep in class before, so I can't judge too harshly...but falling asleep during something as important as en entrance exam is definitely a first." Of course, Setsuna had done plenty of other stupid things throughout her life, so she couldn't really say anything. "Well, at least you made it into a high school, right? No point in dwelling on mistakes..." That was something she constantly had to tell herself. It worked. Mostly.

"Rather more than a mistake, it almost feels like it could have been expected of me. I can fall asleep anywhere at anytime... but ya, I made it into high school, and I can always try to transfer if I really wanted to." Finishing with a little chuckle, Saeko looked back down at her food, not even half gone at this point, the looked at the time on her phone. Hmm, it's not too late, but I still need to finish shopping and then clean and make dinner... Should probably finish this up and get going soon... But I really don't want to clean right now. Saeko started to pout a little while thinking about what to do. That pout quickly turned into a smile as Saeko made up her mind. Hoping to extend her time not shopping but talking, and therefore not at home cooking or cleaning, Saeko decided to try and learn more about the girl she was with. "So, tell me a little about yourself. I mean, all I know about you is you go to Michiro and were kind enough to let me sit with you for lunch."
