Inugami hopped into Kaito's lap after they had all entered - only to be picked up and settled down in the back. The spirit loosed a soft whine.
"Pleasure to meet the two of you, Wilson. Ayakura. Glad to have been able to help." His English pronunciation of Mary's surname was crisp and only carried a hint of an accent, suggesting a decent level of control over the language. After pocketing Alisa's business card, he picked out a pair of his own and handed them back. Plain white card stock featured bold letters in the center reading NAGANOODLE. Below and to the side was an address, phone number, and website link (naganoodle.jp).
"I run my father's restaurant in the Moon district. The two of you are welcome to stop by anytime." Kaito paused, scratching his cheek as he fired up his car. "After all, Ayakura's right - it's to our benefit to help one another since we all seem to be investigating the same subject manner. Should you wish to schedule a meeting for information or ask any other assistance, we've got office rooms in the back for that."
Networking never hurt, right? It's not like he could tell them about the Sanyo Kuzunoha branch, so this would be the next best thing. With that said, he set a gloved hand on the gearstick and pulled into the highway.
"Let me know where to drop you two off."
Vroom vroom. Off they went!

Hmm. Mary noticed that Nagano pronounced her last name like...well, like a fluent English speaker. She'd heard "Uiruson" or something similar a few times from airport staff and at her hotel, which was something she suspected she'd need to get used to. But someone who knew English well meant...she couldn't get away with making remarks in English and not being understood. She'd have to keep that in mind.
"A pleasure to meet you two as well, Nagano, Ayakura," Mary said, accepting the business cards from the two of them. She didn't have any to give in return, but she could at least write down her name and e-mail (giving a British phone number would not have helped them) and give that to them. Once she did, she looked over the cards she'd gotten. Ayakura was a private investigator of some sort, and Nagano...owned a noodle shop?
"I think I'll take you up on that," Mary said. "Have to try ramen while I'm in Japan, after all. Although with everything that's happened my two week trip may end up being a lot longer..."
Oh right, Nagano didn't know where she was staying yet. "New City Hotel in Sanyo - Moon," she added.

Nagano explained that he was the proprietor of his father's restaurant in the Moon district. This was further cemented by the fact he also had a business card which he returned back to both herself and Marian. The young kid also wrote down her e-mail and name but Alisa had the feeling she wouldn't be deliberately going to her for information unless it was explicitly related to the paranormal. She had more cases relating to these types of unnatural phenomena and Alisa felt it might be worth picking out Marian's brains for some information despite the Brit being a couple years younger than herself. If the Internet had taught her anything, it was that she couldn't always overestimate people's intelligence.
"Well, it's nice to meet you both too." Alisa politely answered back, though she didn't mention anything about her own base of operations. It was also her home after all, it wasn't like she had a proper office like Nagano did. And when Marian mentioned she was staying at a hotel, Alisa's mouth twitched a bit. "I'll leave along with the young miss," Alisa mentioned. "I can walk home by myself, unless you had anything you wanted to talk to me about, Nagano."

Kaito rolled to a slow halt at an intersection. Glancing around, the noted that there were no other drivers on the street. It wasn't surprising, even if the hour wasn't obscenely late. The Outer zone of Sanyo was sparsely littered with traffic during the day. Once the sun went down, few save for industrial vehicles passed through the expressway. A small and impetuous smile tugged at his features.
vrrrrrrrrrr...
"Nope," he quipped to Alisa while placing a hand over the stick. "I've got a lot of information to process, but I'll keep in touch. Now, please strap in firmly. We will arrive at our destination in roughly ten minutes."
Cue the Initial D music.
...rrrrrrrRRROOOM!
Five of those minutes were spent with Kaito gunning it down the road. The trip from the edge of the forest to the Moon District typically took at least fifteen minutes without traffic, but they would arrive at the New City Hotel in no more than nine. Kaito had eventually eased back into the speed limit once the Sanyo Bridge was in sight, but the grin that had grown on his face and Inugami's disappointed sighing were telling enough. Some delinquent habits never changed. Once he was in front of the building's entrance, the man shut the engine and stepped out to push his seat forward and let Mary and Alisa exit. As they emerged, he raised a gloved hand in farewell.
"You two take care - and thank you again. I know we all just kind of ran into each other in that distortion, but I'm not one to believe in coincidences. Keep in touch. I'll help where I can."
